Total loan amount of more than USD 1 Billion spread over 125 projects was set from 2001 to the first quarter of 2006. Within a very short time, Credit Europe Bank has increased marine portfolio through its tailor-made products designed to meet the needs of its clients.

CLIENT PROFILE:

Among our client portfolio there are ship-owners, ship operators or shipyards all over the world. We cooperate with both large owners as well as small owners. New buildings financed are mainly in Eastern Europe and the Far East.

PROJECTIONS:

Credit Europe Bank N.V.’s target is to grow its marine finance portfolio in the forthcoming years with its dynamic & experienced team and solution oriented-tailor made approach. The new lines will be utilized mainly in ship building industry and second hand vessel financing, whereas other marine financing facilities will also be considered selectively.

Our SERVICES:

Financial Services: Financial services are cash and non-cash loans including letter of credit and letter of guarantee type of tools. Refund guarantees are issued in favor of shipyards. Hedging tools are designed in line with the customer needs. Acting as a solution partner, we can create alternative financing methods in favor of our customers.

Insurance Services: Credit Europe Bank provides ship building insurance service during the construction of the vessels.


Types of Vessels and Projects:

TYPES OF VESSELS FINANCED:
The shipping activities of the bank are focused on dry cargo vessels, container ships and tankers, all in line with the current market demand; however financing is also available for other types of vessels i.e. fishing boats, tugboats, ro/ro ships and so on.

TYPES OF PROJECT FINANCING:
Pre-delivery financing:
Credit Europe Bank provides pre-delivery financing during the construction phase to both ship-owners and shipyards. Besides the hull construction, machinery and equipment purchases, labour costs and other goods and services may also be financed on project basis.

Post-delivery & secondhand financing:
This is the traditional function of the shipping bank and one of the fastest-growing businesses of Credit Europe Bank. Vessels of various types and ages are financed.

Shipyards / floating docks:
New shipyard establishments, shipyard renovations or floating dock acquisitions are financed on a project basis. Yacht financing: Credit Europe Bank recently began to finance very specific high-value yacht building projects.

Marina and port financing:
A relatively new business area which the bank has targeted.

Working capital loan / Short-term financing:
Credit Europe Bank meets the short-term needs of its marine customers such as high bunkering costs or vessel repair and renovation. Freight receivables financing is also available on a transaction basis.
